The process for creating an Inter Library Loan using FirstSearch.
How to Make an InterLibrary Loan
ILL Request Step 1: From the Cuesta Library Home Screen, Enter your search in the FirstSearch box.

ILL Request Step 2: At this point, sign-in to the web page as found in the upper right hand corner of the page. Note that the item is "Held by other libraries worldwide" so it is a candidate for ILL. To proceed, click the title of the item.

ILL Request Step 3: Click on the Blue "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" button. If this button does not appear, then the item is not available for loan.

ILL Request Step 4: At this point, you may be asked to sign in again.

ILL Request Step 5: You have now reached the Interlibrary Loan Request Form. Scroll down to fill out the form.

ILL Request Step 6: On the form, the pink-shaded questions must be completed. On the "Service Type" tab, select either "Book/Media-Loan" or "Article-Copy". Select from the "Pickup Location" tab, even if the item will be delivered as an emailed copy.

ILL Request Step 7: On the lower half of the Request Form, be sure to include your "Banner or Library Id." This is your student "900" number. Also be sure to enter an email address that you check regularly.

ILL Request Step 8: After successfully filling out the form, press the "Submit" button. Email updates on your request will appear via the email you provided. Congratulations. You have submitted an Interlibrary Loan request!
