Use this guide to find resources related to topics in Nursing.

PubMed is a much larger database than CINAHL, but is more medical journals than nursing journals. Search CINAHL first, then PubMed will have a few more citations in nursing literature

PubMed comprises more than 30 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.

On the left-hand side of the PubMed screen, limit Journal categories to Nursing journals.

This tutorial lasts about 10 minutes in 5 segments. It covers how to search using patient/intervention/comparison/outcome and automatic indexing, search using filters to limit to nursing journals only/publication date/age range of patient, search only clinically-relevant articles, and save searches and citations.

Remember to limit your search on the left-hand side of PubMed to Journal categories: Nursing journals.
